Together with Lynda Hardman, I have edited a booklet by the IPN Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Working Group called “Why would I want to do a PhD in Computer Science?”. This booklet contains a collection of diverse career paths of people who completed their PhD around 5 years ago and shows that if one does a PhD, one is not “doomed” to stay in academia.
